a 60 day visa that is dated 26 Sept, am I late to extend 30 days?

Featured Replies

Greetings

I have a 60 day visa that is dated 26 September. Am I now late to extend it 30 days?

If yes, what do I do?

Is there a fine to pay?

Thanks

Ken

what is the 'admitted to' date in your passport

  • Author

26 September, 2014

If you are writing about the 60 day permit to stay you got on entry you are now on a long overstay and it is certainly to late to do the extension. You will be fined 500 baht a day up to a maximum of 20,000 baht on departure from the country.

If you mean the expiration date (enter before date) of your visa you don't have a problem.

my admitted into bangkok date in my passport is 26 september, 2014 - for 60 days which I arranged with the Thai Consulate in London.

I was under the impression that from 15 days before 25 November, I could extend it for another 30 days but now I am confused if 15 days before 25 November (10 November) was actually the cut off date and now I am late to extend it?

It seems that the 26th of September was the date you entered the country and a got permitted to stay date of November 25th.

If this is correct you can still do the extension.

you should have a leave by/admitted to date of 24th November, so yes extend at local immigration 1.900 baht and get a new leave by/admitted to date of 24th December

excellent. thanks. and I can do this anytime between today and 23 november?

You can do it up to the 25th if you want to. You would not be able to do it on the 23rd because immigration is closed on weekends.
