On a 90 day extension of Non-B Leaving job how long until I have to leave the country?

I've been teaching in Thailand for three years. All of that time was spent working at a great school, where I was very happy. However they axed the course we were teaching and, after several weeks searching for a new job, while on a tourist visa, I found a new school where I hoped to be happy for the next year or two. Sadly this has not turned out to be the case, the head of department is awful and makes everyone's life a misery, he took an instant dislike to me and has been on my case, since day one. They keep adding in more and more extra classes and extra-curricular activities, most days I don't get a lunchbreak, I'm just block teaching. Compared to the teacher I took over from, my timetable has at least a third more teaching hours. I just had a falling out with one of my superiors and I've informed her that I'll be handing in my notice this week coming. I know I was stupid to open my big mouth before at least having lined-up something else, but I couldn't take anymore. I haven't been at the school long enough to process a work permit yet and I'm on a 90 day extension of a Non-Imm B. What I need to know is how much am I in the sh*t? Is there anyway to move elsewhere and take another job and to somehow transfer my visa extension?...And apply for a work permit with a new school? Or am I done for and only have 24 hours to leave Thailand as soon as my present school cancel my visa? I'm guessing they could do this before I'm due to be paid at the end of the month and not pay me a penny, right? :(

Thanks

There is no 90 day extension so you must mean the 90 day permit to stay you got from the non-b visa you had.

If this is this case then you don't have to leave the country and could possibly get an extension if you find another job before your entry runs out.

Indeed, if the school didn't start the application for a WP yet, you can stay until your visa (extension) runs out and that may give you just enough time to find another job.

As long as you're able to start a new WP application before your visa runs out, immigration might give you 1 or 3 months extensions waiting for your WP to be submitted.

So, you're just in a bit of s_h_it........not ankle-deep

It depends on the type of visa entry. The only extension for tourist visa is 30 days, once. The only extension for begin employed is 1-year. OP reporting a 90 days extension is strange.

AFAIK extensions with regards to labor can be given up to 360 days.

I got an extension of 5 months once because immigration expected that the application of my Wp would take that long.

When my Wp arrived after 4 months I got another extension of 8 months.

Up to one year, or 365 days.

In your case they may have made an exception or gave "under consideration" stamp, because a work permit is always required:

For reason 2.1 (not teacher)

4. Copy of work permit (in the case of change of workplace, an acknowledgment of
application may be used)
Same for reason 2.7 (teacher and educational personnel)
