Vietnam Trains Go Online

HANOI, 20 November 2014: Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) will sell train tickets on its website soon following the completion of a software upgrade.

Passengers will be able to book train travel online and complete the transaction, but they will still need to make payments in cash, or via Internet banking to seal the transaction. They will also need to go to the nearest station to get the paper tickets at least four hours before departure.

Designer of the ticket sales system at VNR’s website, FPT Information System Company general director, Pham Minh Tuan, said it will be up and running 1 December.

That's good news for those who like to do it themselves ...however for those who like an agent most hotels where you stay at will get you s ticket delivered for less than $3 in most cases
