Hi,

I just got a new passport because the old one was about to expire soon. When I got the new passport from the embassy they made holes in the old one. The old passport contains the tourist visa that I am currently in Thailand with. I am about to leave Thailand next week and I am now wondering if I can leave the country with my old passport with holes in it (together with the new one) or if I have to transfer the tourist visa to the new passport and exit with that passport.

Anyone here who have tried to exit with a passport with the embassy's hole in it? I really would not like to go to the immigration to transfer the stamps. I have a EU passport if that matters.

You can leave using both passports. Immigration will transfer the entry/permit to stay stamp form the old one to the new one and stamp you out in it.
