November 22, 201411 yr With Ebola transmission by air travellers being a source for new cases. What preparation, if any, do you think Thailand is taking to deal with this killer? I see no proactive awareness commercials nor a list of things you should to do to avoid exposure.
November 22, 201411 yr expect a new manufacturing facility for the pointless face masks....yes its ready
November 22, 201411 yr This has been a News Item in Australia. Thailand does have, for Thailand, a reasonable handle on the Airport arrivals. Not faultless, but a system in place. For the ABC TV an upper level Thai Immigration Official was interviewed. He quite openly admitted that it is the Land Boarder crossing where the highest potential threat lay. I can see the logic in his viewpoint. .
November 22, 201411 yr They can't stuff it up worse than the US did. And it does not really matter as there is no preparation whatsoever either here in Cambodia or in neighboring Laos. And a small reminder before this thread descends into the usual Thailand bashing: if the West hadn't sat on its collective behind for so long (it is only Wes Africa at all); the situation would not be as dire as it is now.

November 22, 201411 yr OP: Not permitted to post link as from BKK Post, but do a search "Threat from Ebola low as Thailand is well prepared".

I did not say anywhere that the Western countries are not generous but in this particular case they failed miserably. As you like to post links, here is another one: http://time.com/3393656/ebola-donations-funding/
November 23, 201411 yr Well they have already placed individuals under quarantine here in the last few months, so they are actively monitoring. I think most country's would struggle to contain ebola...Australia is certainly jittery.
