Motocross race near Saraphi Sunday

Featured Replies

Happened across the motocross race on Sunday in, around, near Saraphi Sunday. The road that has all the big wood carvings and ceramic pieces. South of 121.

No real "motocross" bikes that I saw, mostly 4 strokers of the road variety highly modified... a few older 2 smokers and some old XR's.

I did see a Husky 390, but did not see him racing it. Talked with the guy and he said it will be imported next year.
Saw a KTM 690 Motard.

A LOT of CRF's tricked out.

One jump at the finish line. Reminded me of going to motocrosses in US back in late 70's.

A couple of thai chicks racing.

A bunch of kids on little bikes.

A lot of the striped down moded out Honda Waves just running flat out.

Anyway, saw only one other farang there. The announcer saw me, I smiled and he mad some comment about the farang.

Left after some of the sponsored guys raced.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun.

The Thai's racing were having a lot of fun and they were pretty good for what they had and what they were riding. Says a lot about the riders. Seemed like a good group of people.
