Whatever else she sometimes presents herself as, she's as smart a player as there is. If it is indeed the goal of our PM to permanently exclude her family from Thai politics, he will need to be very careful as to how he handles Ms. Yingluck. Her name is nowhere near as damaged as her brother's and she is from a sympathetic demographic. The general does not want to start looking like a bully.

I wonder what comment the PM will make after the 'military reporter' credited with the 'interview' now seems to be saying it's all a misunderstanding and there never was an interview...

Funny, for someone who recently said mention of certain individuals should be avoided hes pretty good at ignoring his own advice.

Who'd have thought it rolleyes.gif

It is not a question about what she said, but the fact that she was brave enough to say it!!

About time political leaders from both sides show a little courage!!

You mean STUPID enough to say it.

Just check out the response.

Imagine in a country where 1 billion baht thiefs and LM-accused are released on bail, the most dangerous enemy is considered to be free media!!

Clearly Prayuth sees Ms Yinglucks popularity as a serious threat!!

"...a country where 1 billion baht thiefs and LM-accused are released on bail..."

Which billion baht thieves have been released on bail?

"Yingluck describing her removal from office was AS THOUGH "suddenly, someone points a gun at my head and tells me to get out of the car while I'm at the wheel driving the people forward".

Prayut hit out at her remarks, saying to reporters: "Who pointed the gun at her?"

It was a simile, my dear fellow, a simile - not meant to be taken literally. Either Prayut was being deliberately obtuse, or he's obviously not the sharpest,.. etc, etc,

He was using a "simile" also, exactly the same one, perhaps you're not the sharpest...

"Who pointed the gun at her?"

That man asks the most difficult of questions. Real beguiling brainteasers. Guess we'll never know the answer to this doozy.

Picking out a metaphor and asking as if it was a literal is an evasive tactic when giving interviews or responding to questions. He's being evasive as usual.

Yingluk driving reminds me of a certain 16yo - both were unqualified and inexperienced, caused major damage, and face little in the way of consequences.

You must love and adore dear leader or else. The slightest drop in admiration or lust for him will be bad for you. He must be obeyed and worshipped 24/7 as he demands total respect.

"Who pointed the gun at her?" - If Prayut doesn't know, we've all got problems...

She removed herself from office when she dissolved Parliament. No?

She dissolved Parliament and premitted the people to have another vote

that vote, was the gun, as it was boycotted then challenged

Yingluck has an open marriage proposal from me...... anytime Yingluck :)

Both of these people, like many adult Thais, suffer from a unique form of psychological neoteny.

This is very good in children, but very bad in adults. And in leaders, it is very, very, very bad.

"We have clear rules. If something triggers chaos or unrest we have measures"

Well isn't a coup a trigger for ..chaos and unrest. hmmmmm. He triggered the coup, declared himself almost god

He should arrest himself.... I do not think he got to be chief of the army on IQ potential

No finger pointing allowed -- especially three finger pointing!

A certain gentleman has justified the transfer of 5 senior BIB for failing to prevent a couple of students in Khon Kaen giving the salute in his presence !

Can we supplement the ' D ' word with others like paranoia, egotism and even more that would have the mods freaking out ?

Since that trigger has been pulled, where is the chaos and unrest? Haven't the nightly shootings and bombings stopped, the calls for a separate state disappeared, and the protesters and anti-protesters returned to their homes?

Naive to think any of that has really gone away. Truth is all of it and a whole lot more are festering now worse than ever until the lid really blows off.

As to this thread, it's a non-topic: just fairy tales about people who don't exist or otherwise there'd be something in Thailand's history books.... whistling.gif

No one pointed the gun at her. She is a drama queen seeking attention. No one pointed the gun at her.

What planet are you living on?

Certainly not the Red one....
