Reputable Immigration Service in Pattaya

Featured Replies

I will in the near future be applying for a retirement visa, I have visited the Siam service that advertises in this forum while on a trip to BKK, they appeared very straight forward, knowledgeable and professional.

My question is aimed at any members here who have successfully completely their retirement visa process with a service in PTY who have the same high standard I feel I experienced with Siam.

Can you just mention why you need a "service"? As it is not needed to apply yourself and receive an extension of stay in less than 1 hour at the immigration office.

You do not need the help of an agent or "service". An extension of stay based upon retirement is the easiest one year extension to get.

I didn't know that. wai.gif

As said, simple and straight forward.

Immigration do these all the time.

We can help you with getting your extension of stay.

Are you in Thailand now or are just in the planning stages?

What financial proof do you plan on using? Having 800k baht in the bank for 60 days or proof of 65k baht income by way of a letter from your embassy or a combination of the 2 totaling 800k baht?

Maybe he just want to use the agent to "buy" himself an extension, without fulfilling the different small demands...

illegally of course!!

Who knows?

1 hour ? I really doubt about that in this case, as the OP is asking for Pattaya

and the Jomtien (Pattaya) Immigration can not deliver new extensions any more (but only renew them)

I know exactly what you are mentioning and whilst Illegal there is a "person" who offers this service at Jomtien Immigration.

Your post is misleading.

They can do a new extension if a person has a non immigrant visa entry.

The can not longer do conversions from a tourist visa or a visa exempt entry to a non immigrant visa entry.

Hello Ubonjoe. I am now in Thailand on a non-O multi entry visa. I am from USA. I am over 60. I go twice a year to USA for visit and also get my non-O visa every April in Portland,OR. . I have over the 65,000 income with Social Security and Union pension. So.....what I am asking is I have to leave for my 90 days twice a year (the other two 90 days I go to USA). It costs me 2,000 baht twice a year for the visa run and $200 for the mulit entry visa in Portland. I need to make the visa run in January but not looking forward to that anymore. I understand I can get the letter from USA embassy BKK for $50 for income. I live here in Pattaya so would like to apply here in Jomtien. I have a Thai MB and drivers license if that would suffice for my residence? What forms would I need to apply for Retirement visa and what would the costs be for a multi entry being as I leave twice a year? Just want to know if it is better for me to have the retirement visa and do away with the visa runs and just report to Jomtien instead. Thanks for information. willyumcr

You can apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement during the last 30 days of any of the 90 entries you get from your visa. The fee is 1900 baht.

You will need the income affidavit from the embassy. Copies of your passport pages and TM6 departure care.

MB?? A drivers license will not be enough. I have seen reports that Jomtien immigration will want a a rental agreement for where you are living.

A multiple re-entry permit costs 3800 baht and single 1000 baht.

Thanks Ubonjoe. MB meant Motor Bike license. Thought it would do as has my address on it. You did not mention the TM7 form. Is this also required? I have been renting the same condo for 3 years however it has my girl friends name on the lease. I just took her with me when I renewed my license and no problem for the certificate of residence from Jomtien Immigration so I will assume the lease will also be valid for my residence for retirement visa? I need to make my visa run mid January so will go to Immigration mid December. Do I need medical? OK, thanks again for information.

Your girl friends lease agreement should be enough.

No medical is needed for an extension.

This past week I did a retirement extension in Jomtien on a Non-Immigrant O visa I obtained in Laos. I forgot to bring proof of residence, and they accepted my Thai drivers license since it had my current address on the back.

willyumc is applying in Jomtien, where they will issue the extension during the last 45 days of the permission to stay. (Earlier if you can show need, like an itinerary for a flight out of the country.)

One last question. Do I also need the TM7 with photos? I will also bring rental agreement, copies of passport (front page, Non-O page, entry stamp), Income letter from USA embassy with actual documents of income. Does this look like everything I will need? Thanks for your help.

Just want to add that Joe helped solve my visa issue questions through a couple of PM's.

I was a victim of information overload.

I want to Thank You again here so the entire forum membership realize what a great guy you are for being so generous with your time and information.

You will use the TM7 form with an attached 4cm X 6cm photo. Download it and print two sided. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm7.pdf

Jomtien will accept you income affidavit with no back up proof of income. Having it will be ok but do not attach to the application.

You will also need a copy of your TM6 departure card.
