marriage visa extension?

Featured Replies

I am on a recurring 1 year marriage visa that is due to run out in 4 weeks and due to heaps happening here at our house I am unable to travel to Bangkok to get the documents etc needed from my embassy until late january or february, is it possible to get a 60/90 day extension and if so what is required. Thanks guys.

You can get a 60 day extension to visit your wife. She will need to go with you. You will need your marriage certificate, copies of your wife's house book and ID card.

Can I then still get my 12 month visa extension during the 60 day extension at my local immigration office ?

Yes, but you won't actually get a visa at your local immigration office but an extension of stay instead. See post #2 (Lite Beer) on the thread at http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/778762-extending-non-o-for-marriage/

You're doing annual renewals of your extension of stay based on marriage. It's not a visa.
