My friend is here on a 30 day stamp from the UK and wishes to extend it. How long can he extend it for and does he do it at the immigration in Jomtiem?

What does he need to take with him if so?

Thanks

He can get a 30 day extension of his 30 day visa exempt entry at immigration. He can get it in Jomtien.

Some reports are that Jomtien is asking for a ticket out in order to the extension.

He will need copies of his passport photo page, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card. The fee is 1900 baht.

I just read on another forum about 3 people, that independently of one another applied for this 30 days extension at Immigration in Jomtien.

All of them had to pay 3000 Baht for the extension, even the amount on the receipt was only 1900 Baht.

I wonder, what is going on, and if they do the same with other applications ?
