flyingsaucersarereal
I'm from America and if I had to describe how to be cool in my country I would sum it up like this. Being a "cool" person is. 1. Being financially independent from your parents. 2. Being confident about yourself and your abilities. 3. Being a real person that tells it like it is and doesn't lie. 4. Having a cool car or motorcycle with a hot girlfriend. 5. Not being needy and asking for anything like money or attention. 6. Not caring what others think about you. What is considered to be "cool" behavior for Thai men in Thailand? Edited November 29, 2014 by flyingsaucersarereal

laislica
A great question. Would the Thai men please enlighten us? Otherwise I guess there will be a lot of speculation.
Pomthai
Sitting down watching other people work with grubby tee shirt rolled up half way exposing a flabby belly. This is cool(ing) when they feel they are "cool" enough, the shirt is rolled down again.
Costas2008
OP, All of your points are valid for a cool Thai man. There are many of them around but unfortunately you will never qualify to be cool.
slipperylobster
I am not quite there yet. All my wife's sisters are married/or go out with Thai men. These guys do not have one baht that they have earned. The ladies pay/support them. Then they have two more young ones (college students) that they support, with the wife's money. That is pretty cool. How do they do it? I don't have a clue. They have nothing at all going for them.

sipi
Skin tight black jeans, a "Clash Army" cd, a bronze flat-top haircut, a white "farang" tee-shirt, 10mm holes through each ear, red gym boots with orange laces, cheap imitation reflective sunnies...... Much the same as a cool American (except for the "Clash Army" cd).
