I was looking on airasia.com and was surprised that it was 12,000 for 2 people to go to KL. Anyone else have any ideas as to better deals out there? ALso, has anyone stayed at hotel Maya...it looks great, but what about the location?

Hotel Maya is opposite the Twin Towers so it's central. I'd heard recently that they'd had a major rise in room rates to make it the most expensive hotel in town. This is odd as although it's a nice hotel, it certainly couldn't be called the best hotel in K.L.

Air Asia "Go Holiday Packages" have some great deals. Maya hotel is good. I've gone a few times to Kl and Penang on Air Asia packages and the hotels are good. All include breakfast and such. If the Istana hotel is available I would check that out over the Maya as the location is a bit better as it located in Bukit Bintang area. Also they have the best breakfast buffet...western, chinese, arabic, malay, indian and much more! If looking for cheap the Capitol is also good!
