webfact
NACC to probe Pongpat's assetsBANGKOK: -- The National Anti-Corruption Commission has been looking into the assets of former Central Investigation Bureau commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Pongpat Chayapan before and after their mandatory declaration to determine whether he has intentionally concealed his assets.NACC chairman Parnthep Klanarongran said today that if it was found out that the ex-CIB was unusually rich, the NACC would proceed with legal proceedings against him.But as for the malfeasance charge, he said that the NACC would have to wait for the result of police investigation.Police are due to open the last of three safes seized from Pol Lt-Gen Pongpat’s residence to find out what were contained inside it.Source: http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/nacc-probe-pongpats-assets -- Thai PBS 2014-12-

recycled
Are these people really human or primate. So what now, complete the probe and then declare their isn't enough evidence to make a decision. How much of the loot will be diverted to get a negative result. Pathetic little cretins. Popular Post JOC
Wish they'd probe Police Chief Somyot's 1/3 billlion household wealth. Hypocrites! "As a matter of principle we don't investigate "the good people"!! By the way, his (Somyot's) wealth is much larger. Declared assets 358 million baht. By the end of Sep he bought shares in WAT for 360 million baht. Two weeks later he and fellow investors bought shares in MLINK for 1.2 billion baht. Already a major shareholder in SLC and AQ. So for the posters here praising the PM for his fight against corruption, time to wake up and smell the coffee! There are way much important things at stake here than a few baht!!

Let me try to explain it very s l o w l y, so even the most thick poster can understand: Believing in democracy and elections (1person/1vote) doesn't automatically make you a red shirt!! But that is probably beyond comprehension for anyone on the far right??

deckape
Anyone with half a brain knows anything they uncover about this one, the rest are guilty of. Wish I thought they were going to get serious about this stuff. I was killing time at Central World Bangkok last month and visited the row of shops where they sell the high end audio gear. I stopped in a shop and was looking at McIntosh amps and 1,000,000 baht speakers. I said something to the salesman about how he must sell to captains of industry etc. He said "yes, and a lot of Military and Police officers too. LOL. Commerce
Is that the safes? Ruddy heck, safe as <deleted> when bent over in front of a kateoy. Is that also supposed to be gold? The news keeps saying the police are going to 'open' the safes, after they've had them for nearly a week. Looks to me like they were already opened, but maybe they will be empty, as the days are spent concocting a story as to why they were empty, to cover up how the contents disappeard up to the very top!
