Funny how we view things. I would have either put it in the General or the Health forums. I don't think of it being a gay issue anymore although I know it affects gay people.

Anyway back on topic. "Less infectious" worries me as it may make people less careful. "Less deadly is good news although he admits it's an awful long way from becoming harmless.

Viruses are interesting organisms. In order for them to survive, the host has to survive (well in most cases). The HIV virus was particularly good at this since its host lived a long time before illness set in. The weaker the virus becomes the more likely it is to survive.
