Norification of new addressto immigration

Featured Replies

We moved in to a new house yesterday and I wonder if I have to notifie immigration today or if it can wait to the I do next 90 day reporting. If action is required, what documents are required.

At most offices you can just wait until your next 90 day report.

If you wanted to be sure you could try submitting a TM28 change of address form. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm28.pdf

would it be worth getting the house owner to do a TM30 as well - http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm30.pdf

link re TM30 information here - http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=alienstay

Tm28 and TM 30 are forms that have been around for a while, but hardly ever enforced, but for a new house its a one off thing and could save problems regrding extensions in the future at some immigration offices.

enjoy your new house

At Nonthaburi Immigration one can´t wait for next Extension / addressee report to do it.

First time to late, you get a warning (At Nonthaburi Immigration) and they put a notice to you passport in the IT-System.

I know this because when i move to Bangkok after this, and i go report i change addressee at Bangkok Immigration, the women there smile at me, and say, She can see I be warn all ready about this, and that was 1 year after Nonthaburi warn me / put that notice in the IT-System.

But if you have a local police station close to your home, you can go there and do it.

Well here in Nonthaburi we can do it at a police station.

All so at Nonthaburi Immigration when you move, they want you to do the TM.30.

I know it is the house owner / landlord job, but here they get our self to make sure it is done.

I know Immigration office in Thailand have different way of doing thing. I only inform how it is for me here in Nonthaburi.

Kindly.

It is posted in my immigration office that you have 3 days to report change of address. If you dont they can make you pay at least 200 baht per day. This also applies if you travel in other cities for an extended time more than a week. You must notify immigration or pay
