My mate's son and his girl got harrassed on Silom Rd. by very agressive cops 2 days ago.

He was driniking a beer while in a tuk tuk.

They demanded 10,000 bht or be hauled off to jail. They were terrified - both are in their early 20's and fresh young tourists.

They also did not have 10k. Cops took the thousand they had and let them go.

These dogs need to be put on a leash.

Just to add,, Look .. IF you want a bit of fun then do it on face,,Fxxxing book. We are a very serious people here in BKK and really like to support our BIB poilice force.... Never in a month of Sundays would they do such a thing

There's no excuse for them being aggressive. However, alcohol in vehicles (irrespective who is driving) is illegal in Thailand with a fine of 10,000 baht. So your mate's son was lucky to get away with only 1,000 baht!
