OMG-the news section...

as an politically interested and humorous person i certainly read the daily (Thai)news.

but if i read the majority of replies there i really ask myself what is those peoples problem and why they are still here...

so much bitterness and hate towards Thailand isn't understandable for me. whenever Thailand fail(and it mostly does) the feast begins...the usual suspects starts bashing with a passion it is beyond me...

i almost stopped replying to the news because of those chaps...

certainly the purpose of a forum is to discuss different kind of views ...but it should be kept in a civil manner!

this is one of the reasons i like the pub and the general forum more civilized(and funny) mates around....

rant over!

OP, is there a news section on TVF?

Must visit it sometime in the future.

At the moment I'm living in the pub and if I dare to come out I'm thrown immediately back in.

Have to agree here with you, in the pub, everybody is sooooooooo polite and nice to each otherblink.png

No arguments or bickering, no arrogant or ignorant people go there.

Only la crème dela crème of TVF.

Anyway, see you soon back there in the pubthumbsup.gif

OP is just a trolish attentionseeker with all his topics of late. This one must be to counterbalance all his previous topics, where he belittled the thais. Glad to see he feels happy again. The other part of his reality will sink in soon again.

Happy as you go !!!

do you mean such gentle person as the poster above-you're right very polite...clap2.gif

there's a multitude of Thai related forums on the net. If you choose not to be happy with the bickerers that are prevalent on ThaiVisa Forum, I advise you to choose carefully the topics you are really interested in, or to escape to another road.

You see, whenever a thai official opens his/her mouth, I will bet my 100% cash on the absolutely free to expect shitstorm from the TV community. Just because it's the natural reaction for the utter BS that leaves the newsmills of this Amazing Country.

I love TV for the information a newbie receives when asking questions. The advices given are sometimes meandering into obliviousness and mockery, but filtering out the important information has never been an issue.

I guess it's the understanding of humour, which brings down a post sooner or later. Out here there are way too many Monthy Phyton characters who will bring down a serious topic sooner or later. From which I want to exclude the people of OZ , Yanks and all the Costasses because I doubt they have ever seen real british slapstick.

( excuse the racism)

it's a colourful world, isn't it ?

Yes, we in America have never enjoyed Monty Python, Fawlty Towers or other Cleese productions let alone the artistry of Sid James or Hattie Jacques, and their ilk. If only there were some way of accessing such merriment across that vast stretch of water.
I actually came across Privates on Parade a few days ago and watched almost 3/4 of it before hitting the stop button on the remote control. It's all definitely an acquired taste and I'll admit my first exposure to such inanity wasn't in the US but while living in Africa surrounded by them. Brits, that is.
Every other weekend someone would get the projector and bring a film back from the capital city. It seems there was no end to the Carry On series and the Pure Hell of St. Trinians prequels and sequels. Is it any wonder the British Empire began to unravel. I can't remember all the other similar nonsense we watched twice monthly for years on end. I think psychologists refer to it as "repressed memory" or post-traumatic stress that blocks the memory.

the farming section is polite

shush-smiley-emoticon.gif ... that's our secret. We don't want 'them' there!

But Cc1 ... you are correct.

For what it's worth, I joined this place (TVF) I simply joined it for a Visa issue was having at the time.

Then I read the News Forum for the next 12 months as, where I was staying, there weren't any English Newspapers (The Nation, BKP) and I wanted to learn more about how Thailand works.

In the News Forum, the debate is very spirited there.

... and that debate is often Polarised. Very Polarised.

I find the General Forum now a breeze ... rolleyes.gif

The OP might like to consider that not everyone in Thailand spends their days in the pub, chasing girls young enough to be their grand daughter or worrying whether the exchange rate has affected their pension. Many of us work or have businesses in Thailand and are concerned about where Thai logic will take the country and how that affects our livelihoods or the money invested in businesses that give Thai people jobs. And those concerns are what causes people to comment on everything from whether the BTS is running late or whether people are bottling up frustrations and anger because they can't speak or act freely. Anyway, nice troll post, take another sip of oxygen and stay calm.
