I graduated from Thai government university in Bangkok.

Now I need extend non b visa.

The officer on phone said that I need to certify from MOFA the document from the Thai university.

Is this really the case, or the officer who gives info over the phone did not understand me correctly?

Is the extension you want for teaching or working for a company. There are different requirements for them.

For working there is no requirement for a degree.

I also thought that for working a degree was not required.

But this attached is list given last week at bangkok immigration chaengwattana.

Item 12 is the one that states evidence of education is required.

Moreover, they said over the phone that I need to certify degree from Thai university at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

I mean, I can go to my university (goverment one) and ask the doc... but does MOFA really need to certify it?

Seems absurd immigration would not accept a document issued by a major Thai government university.

They gave you incorrect requirements. You need them for an extension of stay based upon working under clause 2.1 of the immigration order.

You will need all the required documents plus a work permit to apply. You will not need the education certificate.

First of all thank you.

But im totally confused.

Last year they refused my visa extension because all the documents from Revenue Department and Social Security had to be CERTIFIED BY the Revenue Department and Certifoed by the Social Security office.

I went to get those documents certified by myself and all went ok, but one came in too late so I had to go to consulate instead.

Also a major visa agency in Bangkok after looking at my current visa said for extension I needed all the docs certified.

I even have a Quotation from them showing "extension of stay" for business.

And in the end they were charging 9,500 baht in top of the normal extension fee specifically to do the "Certification of documents".

BUT, I dont see any requirement for certification of documents in the list posted above.

On immigration website I can see the category you are referring to.

But when clicking the links on immigration website no document appears. Is there a place I can find the list of correct documents in THAI language. So my colleague and accountant can understand what docs they need to get?

Thank you!

Also for item "Document or evidence proving the necessity of the business to hire the alien, for

example, in case a job opening was posted for Thai candidates but there were no
applicants"
What document can I provide? I am the managing director of this company, have been for 5 years, I don't have a "job opening was posted" evidence.
Thank you
