90 Day Reporting

Featured Replies

Hi there i am on the one year extension of my Type o non immigrant visa.

It is about one week to go and i will have to do the 90 day reporting. I have the Form TM 47 here. Is this the correct one? Also i would like to mail it in . Can anyone advice for the correct Mailing address?

Also when sending this in will i get a receipt to proof that i did report ? or how is this handled then?

thanks for your feedback/advise,

rcm :o

You really should have already mailed it as 7 days prior is the requirement. Full details can be found here

You send via registered mail with a stamped self addressed envelope that the bottom of TM.47 is returned in.

I have done the sending with registered mail and had the self addresed & stamped envelope sent in as well....this was on the 9th August...i still haven't got anything back yet.

Should i be worried?

thx for advice,

I would not worry until next month. Keep the receipt and if nothing back in another week or two I would give them a call. Believe they normally hold until date required so it is not as if mail on day 9 - receive day 11 and return that day.

Lop,

I hesitate to question somebody of your vast experience, but I am not sure that sending in your 90 reporting TM47 form 7 days before is a requirement.

You can send it in up to 7 days before and up to 7 days after the due date ( although I wouldn't risk 7 days late personally) but I don't think it is a requirement to be 7 days early so long as the form is there by the due date.

Please let me know if I am wrong (not unknown !) so I can change my reporting habits. But in 5 years I have not yet reported 7 days early, nor even 1 day late.

regards,

The plus/minus 7 day window is for reporting in person.

Notification by registered mail

Copy of all passport pages (up to the latest arrival stamp in the Kingdom or latest visa stamp)

Copy of arrival/departure card TM. 6 (front and back)

Previous notifications of staying over 90 days (if any)

Completely filled in and signed notification form TM. 47

Envelope with 5 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days.

The above mentioned documents must be sent by registered mail and the receipt of the registration kept by the foreigner.

Send the mail before the renewal date 7 days to

Thx Lopburi,

Well my actual day to report would have been the 15th August and i sent my Papers on the 9th August ,only 6 days early instead of the 7.So my date required is actually now 9 days ago- still nothing to worry? Or should i follow up by calling them tomorrow?

thx again,

rcm :o

I would give it a little more time - I expect it will show up.
