Where as Thailand will admit that they knew what was going on in the site that did not exist but if it did exist, it was illegally run by the Burmese.

If you track who was who at the time of this happening one will understand why they are denying everything. Also the military intel created this torture facility without informing the politicians, so they cant be blamed. An army of ostriches leading the country of the blind.

The government is probably just spoon feeding the locals who may not care anyway. It will be interesting if any who spent time in Thai facilities will come forward.

Sathorn Road on the left about 300 meters away from Banyan Tree you have a high wall with only cameras. This operation is run by both the Thai's and American's and this building has been operational since the Vietnam War. I wonder why it never got shut down. I have those details from the Singapore Embassy which is only a few hundred meters away.

Thai military have no clues about CIA's secret prison : Supreme Commander

BANGKOK: -- The Supreme Command said Thursday that the military has no clue about the whereabouts of US's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) secret prisons in Thailand.

Gen Worapong Sanganet said Thailand is not worried about the United States’ warning of terrorism in Thailand. He gave assurances that the Thai security sector has been closely monitoring terrorism in the country.

He was responding to the US’ warning to its citizens living and traveling in Thailand to be careful of terrorist attacks. He said it is an ordinary move by the power giant, as it usually warns its people about terrorism in other countries as well, Gen Worapong said, emphasising that Thais should not panic.

Asked about the so-called secret CIA prison in Thailand and whether or not this would cause the country to become a target for terrorist attacks, the supreme commander told reporters that he has no information on the matter.

He said the national security-related agencies have always been on alert regarding possible terrorist attacks, so there is nothing to worry about.

Thailand remains safe for traveling, he insisted.

On Wednesday, the US Senate delivered a damning indictment of CIA practices, accusing the spy agency of inflicting pain and suffering on prisoners in varied locations beyond legal limits. I

In the report, a secret waterboarding prison was linked to a location in Thailand, where inhumane torturing of Muslim terrorists was carried out to draw out information on possible terrorism attacks.

The Thai government has denied any knowledge of the existence of such a prison.

Possible as Don Muang has a military facility. I doubt it was at the Passenger Terminals but at the Royal Air Force facility.

A matter of terms only, not a prison, just some facilities. The New York Times mentions

"The Senate report quotes a series of August 2002 cables from a C.I.A. facility in Thailand, where the agency’s first prisoner was held. Thai Minister denies secret prison in Thailand

B0ll0x. This is very old news. As old as the US admin at that time (this?) had been reported as having 'torture 'enhanced f3cking interrogation' camp/facilities in Thailand.

WhenEVER has this country EVER shown ANY conscience in any that those of us who inhabit this World, both East and West, given a toss if it seems it will interfere with their MONEY stream? When? I defy Any poster to name but ONE instance whereby a THAI administration, of any stripe, has shown anything other than self interest. Ever.
