ding
Does Thailand have this heart test available... Electron beam computerized tomography (EBCT) A.K.A. Electron beam computerized tomography (EBCT) I want a heart calcium test and prefer non-invasive and no radioative KoolAid. So far I've found a 64-slice where I drink the nuke juice from one hospital, and this from Bumrungrad; "...the estimated costs of Calcium Score is approximately 4,650 Baht (outpatient basis only)." This EBT test takes a pic in less that a tiny fraction of a second. There is very little distortion from heart movement and it's 3-D. It detects calcium deposition on the coronary tissue and lets a relatively healthy person know their heart staus where treadmill-ECG or technetium-stress test may not detect it. My lipids are very mixed; LDL-C is 206 LDL-P is 2,458 Apolipoprotein-B is 145 But... the good news; VLDL Cholesterol Calc. 11 (5-40 mg/dL) TRIG: Triglycerides 56 (0-149 mg/dL) fasted, TRIG: On 8-26-14 Trig was 63 not fasted C-Reactive protein is .8 mg/L (range is 0-3.00 HDL Cholesterol 71 I have large & fluffy lipid profile rather than small & dense. I tried 3 times to explain to my Dr that this was good but she said large & fluffy is the dangerous type... I worry about my hydronic loop taking me out without notice. I can't find a lipidologist in my area that is informed of recent research. They just have a number threshold and prescribe statins.
