PATTAYA: -- In the early hours of Thursday Banglamung Police received an urgent call from concerned residents that a woman was being attacked in woodland off the Naklua Road.

30 Police Officers and Police Volunteers rushed to the area in Soi 8 off the Naklua Road and spotted the alleged victim, Khun Niorn aged 37. She had sustained superficial injuries to her leg but confirmed to Police that she was only fighting with her boyfriend and had not been sexually assaulted, as assumed by the residents.

The woman lives with her boyfriend in a makeshift dwelling in the woodland area and it is believed the pair fight regularly, but on this occasion the arguing was more intense and the woman was injured during the altercation.

If they dispatch 30 BIB to a demistic, how many would they send to a real donny brook? I have never been able to find a precise accounting of how many police are on payroll in Thailand. There are so many assigned to agencies not directly involved with law enforcement, special assignments like guarding rice stock piles, etc They never seem to have a problem musting several hundred with a couple hour notice. Maybe those on inactive duty are used as cannon fodder.

It may be like the private sector hire 4 with the hope 2 put in a appearance at some time during the day,

They didn't send 30 police to a domestic incident they sent 30 police to a report of a woman being sexually assaulted in the woods, there's a bit of a difference.

Maybe you shouldn't take the piss out of a woman who clearly hasn't got 2 bahts to rub together.

The RTP have twice the number of personnel than the UK per 100,000 of population. Same goes for the Armed Forces.
