webfact Posted December 15, 2014 Share Posted December 15, 2014 Thaicom secures financing for Thaicom 8 satellite projectBANGKOK: -- Thai satellite operator Thaicom has signed the syndicated loan for Thaicom 8 satellite project with the Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn Bank.Thaicom 8 is scheduled for launch to the orbit in the first half of 2016. Thaicom 8 will support Thailand's broadcasting industry and provide capacity to power HDTV services. The geographic coverage at the Earth's surface can be quite large and cover much more of that part of the world then just Laos or Myanmar.
