there is a car in the sea at the bottom of the windmill viewpoint between Nai Harn and Ya Nui beaches. apparently some drunk Russian were trying to u-turn or something late last night and went over the edge. they are ok according to the police we talked to there, which is pretty amazing considering the fall and the fact the car is under about 5m of water. the car looked like a new Honda city or something like that.

According to another news source. The Honda Jazz went over around 2300 last night. It dropped 250m and ended up in the drink. The driver (Russian) survived. Police are now trying to figure out if he were drunk, stupid, trying to commit suicide, or a combination of the 3.

i'm not sure how they plan to get the car out of the sea but i hope they have a system for this before the oil and gas leaks into the ocean, if it hasn't done so already. i expect the removal of the car will end up costing more than the car so i hope these Russians have a big ATM card
