A bag of explosive found in Chachoengsao

CHACHOENGSAO, 24 Dec 2014 (NNT) - A local in Chachoengsao Province discovered a bag containing an explosive suspectedly belonging to a local gang of thugs. The bomb was disposed of by an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) squad shortly after the discovery.

The provincial police received a call that a white plastic bag containing the explosive had been discovered under the bridge near irrigation canal in Bangkaeo Sub-district, Muang District.

A squad of EOD was then dispatched shortly after the call. Upon their arrival, the officials found a bag containing a Chinese or Russian made time bomb with 50 meters of destructive radius and a smoke grenade.

The EOD decided to dispose the explosive by detonating the bomb to prevent any further danger. The operation went by smoothly without any incident. The police however confiscated the less-dangerous smoke grenade as an evidence.

Chachoengsao officials suspected that the bombs belong to a local gang of thugs who intend to use them on rival gangs but unable to deploy the weapon due to the intensified security measures of the officials during this period.

Seems that somebody is not listening to the PM, and they are way too close to BKK.

Bad decision.

Thai police need to work to eradicate these "thug gangs" as these same gangs are opportunist looking to cause problems if they disagree to what the norm is.
