Have to agree with you Fred, the old site was much better this is a disaster, the english language weather forecast was an embarrasing joke, hope they fix this up,there was nothing wrong with the old site at least the links worked, why fix something that is not broken?

Agreed. First thing I did was to open the site and find out what the temp/rainfall was for yesterday and what it will be today for my area. Guess I'll have to rely on Accuweather from now on.

The site has been completely redesigned, or better: "they work on it".

English is "under construction" ?

Some English links work, like the daily summary:

http://www.tmd.go.th/en/climate.php?FileID=1

But the important links to the local wheather data lead to empty pages:

http://www.tmd.go.th/en/province.php?id=18 (Khon Kaen)

The Thai version works:

http://www.tmd.go.th/province.php?id=18

Region overview also works (already), Isan: http://www.tmd.go.th/en/region.php?RegionID=2

(click on the images that appear when hovering over "Weather")

Links to some Thai sites (of major interest biggrin.png, I hope the numbers speak for themselves):

Bangkok: http://www.tmd.go.th/province.php?StationNumber=48455

Pattaya: http://www.tmd.go.th/province.php?StationNumber=48461

Phuket: http://www.tmd.go.th/province.php?StationNumber=48564

Chiang Mai: http://www.tmd.go.th/province.php?StationNumber=48327

I don't share the "I don't like the style" bashing!

Wait and see.

Construction of the Thai Met website has made progress.

Have not checked thourougly, but at least the weather forecasts comes in English again.

E.g. Bangkok:

http://www.tmd.go.th/en/province.php?id=37

An important point that is not ready in English:

there is a new database for the 30 year normal values.

Now made up from 1981 to 2010 values.

So far only in Thai, like this one for Bangkok:

http://www.tmd.go.th/province_weather_stat.php?StationNumber=48455

AND: the old data for 1961 to 1990 is also available. Switch between the graphs and you see climate change.

(the new site doesn't make the weather better for me. bloody cold, cloudy, windy and wet here in upcountry . not seen the sun for three days)wink.png

I was used to the old website for many years, didn't notice they put a new one up until now.

I don't know why you complain, site works like a dream. Don't need a list of the cities, click onto the map, and every province pops up depending you know how to read the map.

Satellite radar, also works great, it popped up faster than ever.

Everything the old website had, is still there, you just have to get used to the new menues . . .

the only thing I miss, though, is the freezing little man symbol as soon as temperatures drop below 15 degrees Celsius . .

I WANT THE FREEZING MAN BACK !!!!
