Sexual assault: Footballer charged in alleged rape #Nigeria #NewZealand

Featured Replies

A Nigerian national was charged with the alleged rape of a New Zealand woman by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday.

Ugochukwu Udoka, a 26-year-old football player, is accused of luring the victim to his rental house in Dangkor district at about 8pm on Friday, said Lot Khim of the Dangkor District Police Department.

Udoka had allegedly said he needed to stop at his apartment before driving the woman to her hotel.

At the apartment, Khim said, Udoka locked the door and raped the victim. After the assault, the woman saw a man on a motorbike outside the house and asked him to drive her to the police station, where she reported the alleged crime. Local authorities arrested Udoka the same day.

“The suspect was sent to court already,” said municipal immigration deputy police chief Ouch Sothearoath.

During the arrest, authorities seized from the suspect his car, $650, a passport, two necklaces and a ring.
