maloulou
Hi all, I have a 2 months tourist visa, and what I usually do is exit Thailand before if expires, visit another country for a week or 2 and get a 30 days exemption before I go back to France (having a return ticket within the 30 days). I would like to make sure I can do a land crossing back to Thailand and get 30 days with proof of leaving the country, knowing I may have spent more than 90 days within the last year. Thanks in advance for your help.
ubonjoe
There is no 90 day limit for staying in the country within the past year. You can leave and re-enter the country after your 60 day tourist visa entry and get a 30 day visa exempt entry without a problem.
maloulou
thanks Ubonjoe, I was worried especially about land crossing, but it seems being in the G7 helps, for whatever reason...
ubonjoe
The G7 rule gives you 30 days. You can get a visa exempt entry without a problem because you will not of been on one already when you left the country.
Xircal
Or you can simply go to an immigration office a few days prior to the expiry date of your tourist visa and get it extended by 30 days. The fee is 1,900 Baht.
