Colostrum,

Featured Replies

Does anyone know the Thai word for this mother's first milk?

From a German-Thai dictionary:

.... n. med. นมน้ำเหลือง ("yellow milk")
... Kolostrum ...

Supported by the headline in this article:

From an article in Thai: น้ำนมไหลก่อนคลอด ("milk flowing before giving birth")

http://www.momypedia.com/momy-article-3-4-418/q---a-%E0%B8%97%E0%B8%B3%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%A2%E0%B9%88%E0%B8%B2%E0%B8%87%E0%B9%84%E0%B8%A3%E0%B8%94%E0%B8%B5-%E0%B9%80%E0%B8%A1%E0%B8%B7%E0%B9%88%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%99%E0%B9%89%E0%B8%B3%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%A1%E0%B9%84%E0%B8%AB%E0%B8%A5%E0%B8%81%E0%B9%88%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%99%E0%B8%84%E0%B8%A5%E0%B8%AD%E0%B8%94/

The Q in the article also writes about "yellow fluid".

-------------------------------

Sounds like นมน้ำเหลือง (nom nam lueang) is plausible.

Thank you KhunBENQ, after posting this I went to a feed shop in my district town, and there was a very helpful and knowledgeable lady who ran the shop and had lived in England for a while, and spoke perfect English, she basically said the same thing as you. Colostrum (น้ำ นม เหลือง) name mom lʉ̌ʉang, or "yellow milk"
