ASEAN Next Year, Other Asians Buying Thai Land

I have been told that next year other ASEAN members can buy Thai land, is this true ?

I was told speficially that Cambodian can come and but land in Thailand, no probs.

I can't imagine this, but, anyone really know ?

Foreigners are not permitted to own land in every ASEAN countries. Looks like this issue is already in common in the whole of ASEAN and need not change in the future.

The likelihood of Thailand allowing any non-Thai to own land must be close to zero. Unless they pay a lot for the privilege.

Gee I hope that includes Aussies.

Given that Australia has just won the Asian Cup and is in the process of devaluing the Aussie dollar until it reaches parity with the Baht, I would suggest that Aussies would make ideal immigrants as we won't be able to come here as paying guests much longer.
