Popular Post bangkokjulia
A couple of my friends have just returned from a few days away in Pattaya. They told me they are seriously considering moving there due to the abundance of 99 baht breakfasts on offer. They say they can't get them in Bangkok. My question is this-What is so good about a 99 baht breakfast?

Popular Post neverdie
They must be skummy friends you have their Julia. Those 99 baht breakfasts are really for the creeps of society......low so stuff for drunk tourists and their hoes. Classy folk go for the 119 baht breakfasts. bangkokjulia
I guess perhaps the word "friends" was a bit exaggerated. They are neighbours. I never pay less than 300 baht for breakfast
ATF
Did they visit Konying's breakfast emporium?

I have no idea where they went ATF-all they said was that the place and proprietor were dodgy, but it was 99 baht well spent.

ThePlant
Be fair. They need that 1B to top up the miserable salaries the pikey owners pay them to produce and then serve such slop....

Well Julia it's a double sided scam. The owners hope that you will buy a few beers or an extra tea/coffee and the punters steal the ketchup and other condiments and sometimes the cutlery too. It's a lose lose situation.
bangkokjulia
Thanks ATF. After looking at the Peter Dickinson reviews, the photos he provided looked like great advertisements for food poisoning. Are the owners from any particular race, and based on said photos, do the owners actually eat their own 99 baht breakfast?
ukrules
Sometimes I have a muffin for breakfast, I think that costs about 20 Baht, then again there's no way to be sure as I rarely go to the 7/11 myself.

These guys are so mean they probably live off the leftovers, if there are any after the plate lickers have finished.
Popular Post ThePlant
My aim is not to spend more than 100 Baht a meal. (I will consider 110 Baht if the meal looks worthwhile). I have purposefully eaten two 'Full English' breakfasts priced at 140 Baht and one at 180 Baht. I'm laughing so much now I think I may have an accident....Sterling stuff!!!

How sad is that? http://peterdickinson.hubpages.com/hub/Pattaya-Full-English-Breakfast-Review There seems to be no mention of whether the change was given or not. Clearly Peter wasn't giving a comprehensive review. How could he miss such a thing? Maybe somebody should contact him and ask him to be more thorough in the future.

Could be, but with his disposition he would more likely to be the reviewer of grindhouse establishments. Also, I doubt he can afford 180 baht breakfast, or a camera.
