KhunBENQ
Different possibilities (prefixes) with different cost. Simple but most expensive: on the dial pad keep "0" pressed and you will see a "+" (indicating international call). The continue with the number. E.g. want to call Harrods London? +442077301234 44 is the country code for UK, 20 is for London and then the phone number (77301234). Rate? About 24 Baht/min as far as I remember. ---------- Cheaper with a prefix. What works good is 009: 009442077301234 Rates to UK: 5 Baht/min to fixed line, 7 Baht/min to mobile. KhunBENQ
003 is supposed to be cheaper than 009 http://www.ais.co.th/003/en/service-rate.aspx#tips Not so clear. 5 Baht economy rate, 7 Baht standard rate If only they would tell how to get "economy rate"? Also requires some form of registration. Much too complicated for me.
WhamBam
CAT telecom cards worked well for me. But buy the 300 Baht cards for better value. Land lines abt 1 Baht p min. Mobiles abt 3 Baht. or do as above ^^^
