Featured Replies

I need to notify 90 report on 28 jan, if I go on 29 jan late 1 day, will it be fine?

yep.

No problem.

No problem, you can report 15 days early and up to 7 days after the due date.

You can report up to 7 days late including the report date in the count without paying a fine.

I believe if you mail it in you cant be late though is that correct?

Only can be late if you go to the office personally?

If you want to report by mail you have to send at least 15 days before the due date. Otherwise no one would pay 2000 THB fine...

Not AT Udon 500 bht per day different there, they have own rules.

The 500 baht per day fine is for overstay not for late 90 day reporting. Perhaps you have the 2 mixed up.

and what else you have to pay for your report? . 1900b or is it free? what form you have to fill?

It is a report of staying longer than 90 days in the country.

There is no fee.

The form is a TM47.

The rules now say that mailed-in reports have to be received 7 days before the due date - see attached Immigration Bureau notice issued last September.

on tm47 apparently I can check 'tourism' and stay more than 90 days and it s free , so why I pay 1900 baths for an extension of 30 days under a tourist visa .? where is the catch?

90 days report are for when staying in country longer than 90 days. That never happens with tourist visa. You have been charged the correct amount.

TM47 does not allow any stay - it reports your address to immigration if staying longer than 90 days without leaving by having a valid extension of stay or visa entry longer than 90 days.

I understand it s just a report and not an extension of stay?
