Big Guns
Hi I'm hoping for some advice about a friend's visa options. He has worked in Thailand for 9 years as an international school teacher, has held a work permit for this period and a non immigrant B visa. He may have to stop working for health reasons but he'd like to remain in the country. He has sufficient funds for the retirement visa but he's only in his mid 40's. He isn't married. Thanks in advance for helpful answers and suggestions.
theoldgit
I'll move this to the Thai Visa Forum where you may get more appropriate advice.
Mario2008
He doesn't seem to qualify for any visa, other than a tourist visa. Only once he becomes 50 would he have a reson to stay in Thailand continously. His best bet might be to go and study and get an ED-visa.
ubonjoe
Tourist visas and going to school to get a ED visa/extensions are about his only choice. There is also the Thai elite 5 year PE visa that gives unlimited on year entries that costs 500K baht.
