It is not difficult with this lot is it Santi tongue.png they do it to themselves

Who gives a flying **** about Modric anyway???

What really interests me is how these guys can carry on bowing to the man who is buying the players...because it certainly isn't AVB,he is Levy's bitch just like he was Romans bitch.

They need to man up about having a bitch as the manager when really Levy is power crazy these days at the lane....still they have 20 Million now to buy a couple of players.........see who Levy wants eh? clap2.gif

From Sky Smokes............

While Daniel Levy no doubt revels in the club's new 'partnership agreement' with Real Madrid - the one that sees their best player finally leave with just days to find a replacement - Tottenham fans may be more sceptical about the chairman's unique approach to the transfer window.

New boss Andre Villas-Boas has a tough job on his hands as it is with many already seemingly willing to cast him as a failure if he cannot deliver a top-four finish. As a result, who could blame him for being desperate for players? And who could blame the clubs in possession of those players for being fully aware of Spurs' desperation?

So expect the boot to be on the other foot for Levy as clubs demand a premium for the likes of Leandro Damiao, Hugo Lloris, Willian and Loic Remy. Even so, things will look an awful lot brighter next week if Spurs have a new attacking talent and a goalkeeper the right side of 40 in their ranks

Its being reported anywhere sensible as 33m quid.

I did say this earlier....please at least TRY and keep up! blink.png

http://www.cbc.ca/sp...-tottenham.html (thats 28 million quidwink.png )

http://www.thetimes....tball/ (27.8 million quid)

http://www.guardian....eal-madrid (30 million quid)

http://www.caughtoff...er-luka-modric/ (27million quid)

http://www.tribalfoo...drid-3484451 ( 35 million Euros = 28 million quid)

There are plenty other 'reputable' sources saying less than 30 mill, smokes!!

Don't upset them with facts Jack biggrin.png they will all wake up soon and see what a big laugh we are all having on there behalf cheesy.gif was it 30 million with add ons? that probably makes it around 25 million and take another 5 million for the club friendship deal and further loaned players.......Kaka is available on loan isnt he? it gets funnier! laugh.png

Obsession. Get over it. Either way, you're club is just an oil sheiks plaything an advertising tool for their airline, buying success and ruining football in the process. Suggest you go back to the manchester threads and talk amongst yourselves. What to discuss carmine i hear you say? How about wage caps and buying trophies thumbsup.gif ...

Hugo Lloris deal is done. Great signing this is.

Dembele on the way next

Dembele done according to Beeb. An OK signing.

Edit: that wasnt meant to be damning with faint praise. I meant it in the sense that Podolski and Giroud were OK signings (for a team with top 4 aspirations) whereas Cazorla was a great signing, as was Vertongen.

I'm just taking that from all the rumiurs flying around carms...and with a large pot of cash available there are plenty of them!

As to the striker I can't fathom that either...but I live in hope....

Not disagreeing with you. I've read the same but just saying that Lloris is the only one i'd be "very pleased" about.

I'm in a foul mood this afternoon trying to fathom out why, if we have such a great relationship with Madrid, we didn't get Nuri Sahin in the Modric deal with a buy option next year.

I was going to ring you carms about that one, very strange !!! so i think we're agreed that we need a def mid, attacking mid, gk and a forward, i wonder how many we will get ? i just read that we offered 18m for Damiao which if true then no wonder we havn't got him, must be worth 25m.

Keep away from Brisbane Road!!

We will ups, unless you have a decent centre forward 23.gif

It's a different Sheikh who owns the airline and I think he has proved he thinks it more than a plaything but even if it was, it's better than someone owning us to just cream money out.

I suggest you read that article posted by stevie. It's quite a good read and gives a good factual history to the transformation of football in regards to the monetary side of the "business" and to what you think is ruining the game. Incidentally, it was Spurs who were the first club to float on the stock market in 1983 and form a holding company. This was a significant step in the transformation as to how football is run nowadays. I'm not saying Spurs are fully to blame but don't think for one minute you are totally blameless for the current situation.

Lloris great...Dembele Ok....now where is the new striker please??

Yes Lloris is very good as is Dembele, although apparently he can run hot and cold.

Any ideas who this striker is were in for?

I see it being reported the deal for Lloris is under £10m....if true that 's great business. How much for Dembele? There must be some cash left for a striker I hope....take your pick as usual...no idea who we might sign....

Seems They are both 'done deals' as much as the Dawson deal was a 'done deal' IE clubs have agreed figures then its down to negotiation with the players, still a way to go,but looks optimistic.this seems as bout a realistic/credible report as your likely to find http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/9505024/Tottenham-Hotspur-agree-deals-to-sign-Moussa-Dembele-from-Fulham-and-Hugo-Lloris-from-Lyon.html.

Good summary I think.

Surely we're not going to buy yet another midfielder when we have only two strikers?

Madness!

Lloris has signed. The Telegraph just doesn't know it yet. Dembele is no further than agreed as they say, but looks like he'll be next.

So no one has a clue who the striker is? Its going to be a long 48 hours isn't it!

No smokie, OGY has already said were in for another striker. He knew about AVB and Adebayor before the papers and he's also called Lloris. Apart from a decent command of the english language the torygraph knows nothing more than the rest of them. Keep up mate!!! biggrin.png

Probably the Friday nifht bargain when it should have been at least second on the list behind Lloris.

Never mind....sleepless Friday night....:D

I wouldn't bet on it happening smokes, VB's said he wants to run with 2 strikers and then a development player as no 3, he's signed adeboy and said that defoe's still in his plans, so so 2 me that indicates in this window his priority ISNT to sign another striker and if and when he does, and sticks to what he says, defoe or adeboy will move on. But time will tell

Come on carmine It didnt exactly take rocket science to work out that we were 'in ' for a player who wanted first team football, wanted to leave his parent club, and we'd, v v successfully, had on loan for the whole of last season, as for reliability in transfer speculation is there such a thing?.

Really? Then why didn't you call it Rij? You weren't told we were in for him, you were told we had signed him. Theres a very big difference Why didn't you make the call for AVB eleven days before the press announcement. Why haven't you made the call about Lloris? Actually, apart from knock everybody else on here what have you actually made a correct call on? Its also rather silly to cast dispertions on a source you don't know the identity of. Suffice to say that he has impeccable ties within the club and doesn't get his info from the speculative press. Eitherway, choose to believe what and who you want to. Its your perogative.
