I had two Extensions of stay (each 60 days) in 2014 after Non Immigrant O Visa

and got now one in 2015, for reason - having Thai children and taking care them, living with them

and GF-mother of the children.

My Immigration office seems, not like to give such extensions and would prefer, that I make a one year extension of stay instead.

But that I cannot do, as I have not the funds.

After I had to pay the same, higher ranking senior officer some month ago, 500.- Baht,

for the transfer of the stamps, of the stay, or, residence permit, from the old Passport to a new Passport.

(Is that payment usual?)

He asked my GF today, to give some "soup money" with the payment of the extension,

as this is now my third (60 days) extension, for child reasons, in 12 month and these extensions are,

as he meant, limited.

Is that true? Or only a false argument, to ask for =soup= money?

On the end,

he responded to my GF's Gold necklace, which he would have liked to take care until her next visit he meant in a joke.

My Gf said, that she just won two times a sum in the (black) lottery, that resulted in giving his mobile number to my GF, so she could tell him the next winning numbers, as she seems to be lucky. whistling.gif

Such extensions are limited to one per entry to the country. They are given at the discretion of the IO.

You might be best advised to secure a long term solution which may involve marrying the mother of the children .

Once the marriage has taken place an extension of stay can be applied for or a multiple entry visa can be obtained from the Thai consulate in Savannakhet.

Actually the OP can obtain a multiple entry non-imm visa in Savannakhet even without marrying to the mother. For that he would need legalization (paternity rights) that is done at the local family court.

I understand - extensions are limited to one per entry to the country.

But, - They are given at the discretion of the IO.

To much free decision making for the Immi Officer in my opinion.

Are 2 extensions in 12 month already to much? If not why my Immi office is lamenting.

So they can take "tea money"?rolleyes.gif
