Niloc
I installed Ubuntu and although it is hard work, I am gradually getting the hang of it. My main problem is that the keyboard is not what I am used to, it has for instance the british pound sign at SH-3 and I simply cannot find the ordinary backslash (\), I get a # instead! I assume I have made a selection during installation which has given me this but how can I change back to an ordinary keyboard where the keys all print what they are labelled? I am using a IBM Thinkpad T21 and Ubuntu 5.
Sulaphat
Colin, From the menu, select System Configuration>Regional and Accessibility>Keyboard Layout. There should be a large selection of keyboards by language/country. Good luck.
Niloc
Well I went there and got everything as I want except for the tilde key which gives me a ` both unshifted and shifted and the \ key give me a # for some reason. I can live with it though... Thanks...
