Trevstar
Quick question. What's the cheapest and best way to book this from the UK? Prices seem way out when you look compared to the reverse journey Cheers in advance For example BA is £
daveAustin
It always is east to west but I've found, generally, that BA is about the cheapest, though prices are naturally hoicked closer to date of departure. For example, it was £400 (20,000 baht) Bkk-Lon when booked couple months ago. Edited January 31, 2015 by daveAustin
CharlieH
Bkk-LHR is always "loaded" there is no easy answer or quick fix. You just have to trawl around for the best price. BA are about the cheapest for direct flight. Otherwise usually via Middle east or India. If time isnt an issue, sometimes you can find better deals flying out of the major Asian hubs, like Hong Kong or Kuala Lumpur.

uptoeleven
Prices seem to drop around 3 weeks before departure at the moment, when the airlines realise their planes are empty. First port of call is always The Matrix. Remember you can't buy those tickets but it's always worth a look. You may be able to buy those tickets off the website of the airline mentioned, sometimes you have to phone the airline with the code at the bottom of the matrix screen and sometimes you make that call and they tell you "oh - yeah - those are sold out but we don't update to the IATA database as often as we should because our system is rubbish (Turkish Airlines anyone???)" (Turkish are great by the way. Their booking system however isn't). So you found a flight and can't buy it. Next go to Rome 2 Rio and try to see if you can buy it there. They do cross-referenced API searches of the booking engines and airline websites and are generally a good bet. Their website looks amazing and on anything other than a fast connection and good computer it runs like a dog. But you WILL get the cheapest prices. And they will also offer alternative routes that are cheaper that you may not have considered. And they will also offer alternative routes that are completely mental and unrealistic. It is a computer program after all, human discretion is advised.
