Early retirement extension at Jomtien

Featured Replies

I remember that there was a thread a few weeks ago, which I'm unable to find now, about a member who was not allowed to do his retirement extension in advance because it was too busy at Jomtien immigration. I think to recall that he was sent back twice with the words to return on the day his extension expired.

Next week I want to do my retirement extension 30 days ahead of expiry date, same as I have done in the 2 previous years as well, and this time specifically because I also have to do 90 day report that day.

So to avoid to have to pay twice for a bank letter, I want to ask if that situation was temporarily or that it is a rule from now on.

The only reports of people being told to go back on the last day were for tourist visa extensions

Some immigration offices will accept them.

The letter confirming your balance will need to show the baht equivalent of the foreign currency account balance.

Yes, I did my retirement extension renewal in December, about 40 days early. No one said anything about it being too early.
