Can anyone suggest why the icons on my desktop PC seem to have a mind of there own ?

For no apparent reason they will shift from the right edge border of the screen and align 3 inches further in ?

Or just redistribute themselves around the screen in random order. This can happen at anytime not just when starting/closing etc.

Any ideas ?
