Hi-So dad busted for meth in Huai Khwang hotel

BANGKOK: -- A well-known businessman and father of a socialite famous for running over a woman with his Mercedes was caught using crystal meth in a hotel room in the Huai Khwang district last night.

Real estate magnate Kananek Patchimsawat, 64, opened the door when police knocked on his room at Me Style Place Hotel after they received a tip there was a drug use on the premises.

The businessman was taken to the Sutthisan police station along with 1.07 grams of crystal meth. He tested positive for drug use, police said.

Kananek confessed to getting high and was charged for use and possession of drugs, Post Today reported.

Kananek is the father of Kanpithak “Mooham” Patchimsawat, 26, who was arrested in 2007 for throwing a rock at a bus driver [read more...]

Check his facebook, for an old dude - he has quite a few young lady's added recently.....most of them with a larger chest, than you average "Noi" or "Lek"

Perhaps his offspring mental state really comes from defective genes of a drug addict.

There are lots of senior police in that family and when I say senior, I mean very senior. Definitely more to this that meets the eye. I am not saying there were no drugs but I cannot understand how he was even arrested in Thailand. That could certainly be described as "not normal".

This made me laugh out loud. Face has been lost and it'll be very hard to regain. Considering his bigoted comments about the psyche of the average citizen. Simply confirms that he is even more of a neanderthal than he even appeared back then, and massively more so than those who he publicly tried to denounce.

I was thinking the same thing.

It might be a clean up, among people who support the wrong people, and/or things we can't discuss, like the case of Lt Gen. Pongpat, that had absolutely nothing to do with "cleaning up corruption".

One thing is for sure, under "normal" circumstances, guys like this don't get named and shamed, for a measly 1g of Yaa'Ice.

Oh! The face that must have been lost. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

Seems like a political thing, people like don't get arrested for stuff like this unless someone had a vendetta against them

- He separated / divorced the wife / mother of mooham a long time age.

- That wife was a previous Miss Thailand or something similar.

- When the son deliberately (in a rage) ran over people, one or two killed, the father refused to talk to their families saying that he did not want to mix with low class uneducated people.

That last point makes me sick to my stomach. People want to act like the poor of this county are unruly thugs when it's the filthy rich getting away with murder because of the sway they hold.

Simple, the "Police" aren't in charge at the moment ... their "influence" has been diminished somewhat.

Entrapment??? Please explain how he innocently came to be in a hot-sheet hotel with a bag of drugs and a hooker?

Seems having Chalerm's number on speed dial and a fat brown envelope just don't work like they used to.
