2 Billion Baht To Be Used To Promote Studies Of English And Chinese Languages

More than 2 billion baht will be used to promote studies of English and Chinese languages

The cabinet has approved strategies to promote studies of English and Chinese languages to increase the country’s competitiveness.

The English education promotion, to be carried out between 2006 and 2010, will be funded by a budget of about two billion baht. Target groups include students and people in working age group.

Another 529 million baht will be spent on promoting teaching and learning of Chinese language, upgrading the quality of Chinese language studies and increasing the people’ s skill in using this language.
