Watched a good documentary today on Egypt could it happen in Thailand

I was watching a good documentary on the politics of Egypt over the past 10 years .

They had a thriving tourism , economy etc

Then there was a number of up risings theat ended the tourism there business market etc

This is just one example of many countries or economies that have went the opposite direction .

My thought is can it happen here in Thailand , is thailand above this type of political turmoil

I learnt something along time ago that things can happen even though we thing it could never happen to us

Just my opinion and thoughts after watching the Egyptian turmoil

Would have thought the smart money would have been on "when will it happen" rather than " could it happen". Might not be inevitable but not looking good.

Political turmoil....part of common life in Thailand though nothing special....

Different dynamics,

geopolitical, demographic and economic.

Could Thailand have an economic downturn , sure it could, many countries could, but not for the same reasons as Egypt
