I have already spent time researching this so i pose the question here.

In yahoo mail when i send an email to myself a small drop down pic of me appears next to the email address prediction.

How can i delete or change it?

I tired messenger settings and other settings but can not find the pic/icon option anywhere.

I was sent to yahoo profile which is inoperable.

I do not want to download yahoo messenger to try and fix this and not sure that would work.

Thanks.

Open an Outlook.com email account and then use the import option to have all your Yahoo mail forwarded to Outlook: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/outlook/yahoo-imap

Another advantage is that you can open six alias accounts which are linked to your main Outlook account: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/outlook/add-alias-account

i simply want to delete or replace the pic that i never myself expected to show up with my email address

so far looks like not possible but i think there is ALWAYS a way i just have not found it yet

after reading your post and doing some investigating, Seems like YAHOO is not leaving well enough alone AGAIN

This is what we know so far ...........Yahoo Profile (profile.yahoo.com) is going away.
But don't worry - your profile picture, nickname, Facebook and Twitter connections, and comments on various Yahoo properties aren’t disappearing!
We plan to move relevant settings like your profile pic, nickname, birthday, gender, and connected accounts (Facebook and Twitter) to your account settings.

We're simply removing the ability to view public profiles and the “about me” and “my interests” sections.

so what you got is what it is from the sounds of it....

unless you want mess with the book and or the twitter.....

its still free which is good...

a year or so ago a nigerian man's facebook page became linked to my hotmail account. when people received an e-mail from me it had this guys photo attached. my friends found it funny, people i didnt know so well thought i was nigerian!

i tried everything to get rid of it and link my e-mail to my own facebook page - i use a different e-mail address for facebook. nothing worked and then eventually it just stopped happening.

dont know what caused it or why it stopped but it was annoying.

actually i dont want everything linked together as its harder to control what people see. unlike many younger people who use the internet i value my privacy
