When I was growing up in Australia, we had a name for people like this. They were called "To and Froms"

They came to Oz, mainly on assisted Migrant passage for TEN QUID (Pounds) they'd moan and groan about everything and tell us how things were done "Back 'ome." (One of those who did this, was Great Train Robber, Ronald Biggs...just thought I'd mention that.)

Quite a lot would talk themselves into Going Home, only to get there and decide they'd made a hideous mistake and then they'd turn around and come back to Aw-stray-lia. Hence the term: "To and Froms."

Maybe this Op will get back to England, find it has been "taken over" by those blighters from the Colonies and high tail it back to Thailand?

The "Grass is always greener" theme seems to permeate Thai Visa as well. Most don't seem to realize how faulty their memories of "back 'ome" are or how they carry the baggage of discontent with them wherever they go.

I believe that in a state/economy that is structured according to socialist principles there is no such thing as "other peoples money".

What M.Thatcher must have been referring to was the folly of trying to operate socialist policies in one of the most flawed/badly re-structured/compromised/mis-led capitalist societies in the post-1945 world (if only we had known then). All of which led to it's current, and continuing, decline. (Not to mention losing The Empire)

That would be the UK.

I would have expected something more original than a 3 year old YouTube video. sad.png

You seem to manage yor expectations poorly. In the anticipation of potential disappointment, I never bothered opening the link.

Personally, I think England is in the top ten nations in the British Isles, and people ( sorry - had to pause there - turns out it's Lanky European Models Night in my local again) people who denigrate England are unable to make the best of what they are offered, and will probably be miserable anywhere, even In Scotland
