6.5 million for half a square meter??? How much would it have cost just to change the building?? A couple of hundred grand no doubt.....so no, instead he hires arguably the most sorry looking hitmen in South East Asia to rub him out.

What did the business man expect for 300k ? Carlos the Jackal? You wouldn't get Mr Bean for 300k.

But they got 5 Mr Beans for 300k, or was that 5 Mr Beanies

The businessman looked at his options: B6.5 million to get the half-square-metre of land or B600,000 to get rid of Songvit and, as a precaution, his brother, who was also his heir. He hired a fixer who in turn hired four men to carry out the hits.

One can't find any half decent sub contractors anywhere these day can one?whistling.gif

Seems to be the case, but the land owner was trying to extort him that's for sure... ฿6.5mil crazy.gif.pagespeed.ce.dzDUUqYcHZL4v7J7m

extort him ? it is apparent you have never owned anthing. if you had you would see this for what it truly is. the price you pay & recieve for property ownership. being "fair" or extortion has nothing to do with it. its called doing bizz :-)

Thailand right now reminds me of the 1920's and 1930's Chicago during the Prohibition era. Mafia hits, corruption, bought and paid politicians and community leaders and business owners. Will Thailand ever be able to produce a J. Edgar Hoover and an Eliot Ness? I doubt it. The USA in the 20's and 30's had a foundation built on the Constitution. Removing this bad element still left a strong foundation to build back on.

Thailand, regrettably, has a foundation built on corruption. Were someone like Hoover and Ness to dig down and remove the trash here, Thailand's entire structure would be gone. That's the problem. Dirty, rotten filthy corruption right through the core.
