Mafia hits, corruption, bought and paid politicians and community leaders and business owners. Will Thailand ever be able to produce a J. Edgar Hoover and an Eliot Ness? I doubt it. The USA in the 20's and 30's had a foundation built on the Constitution. Removing this bad element still left a strong foundation to build back on. Thailand, regrettably, has a foundation built on corruption. Were someone like Hoover and Ness to dig down and remove the trash here, Thailand's entire structure would be gone. That's the problem.
