I am a UK citizen living and working in Bangkok Thailand under work visa organised by the Oil company I work for.

MY intention is to retire to Thailand in 1 year, most likely to Chon Buri-Jomtien area.

I have been on a UK NT tax code for 10 years, no property or family in the UK in fact never visited UK in 12 years.

Can I obtain a retirement visa in Thailand without leaving the country?

Any agencies to recomend for this servce would be welcomed.

Thanks

There is no retirement visa issued here. You can apply for an extension of stay based upon retirement.

If you were doing it today you would have to leave the country to get a non-o visa (Vientiane or Penang) and then apply for the extension. Immigration will no longer change the reason for an extension of stay from working to retirement.
