Does anyone on here know Dubai well? Particularly to bars and entertainment.

I ask because a close friend has just moved there to work in a Thai friends bar. I advised against it and am suspicious that in a muslim country like this there are not any bars

I do not really mean to be an ass but it is well known that Dubai is the party town of the mid east. How can anyone stop the people who drive gold plated Lambo's from drinking? It is like Casablanca in 38
