Impressive website and selection so placed my first order yesterday. It reminded me that I met Rob and his wife who own SK at a friend's restaurant at New Year. Really nice couple. But as for Makro bacon, no complaints from me. I split into 300g lots for freezing, and 'grill' it in the microwave. Crisps up well and no more fat than usual from bacon. Maybe they have different qualities but the one I buy is not expensive.
April 21, 201510 yr Had an order delivered from Chiang Mai Gourmet,a week ago,and i am very please with the quality and taste of his products,the smoked bacon is done just right for me,not over smoked,and the sausages have taste,which is the missing element in many sausages found in Thailand,and I have tried many. The minced Oz beef was also good,made some good mince and onion pies,and saved some for Spaghetti and Chili,use to buy it at Northern farms,but the smell in their shop could put you off,and I think it was also cheaper at 250 THB kilo, Making Leeks and some of his good back bacon ,today for lunch,its a northern recipe,with boiled buttered potatoes ,you cannot live on rice all the time. regards Worgeordie
April 21, 201510 yr Rimping Maya had a load of sausages at less than 1/2 price this morning. Sell by date tomorrow. Reduced from 120bht to 60bht and some reduced from 100bht to 40bht. Pork sausages, bacon sausages, frankfurters and a few other types.
April 22, 201510 yr A little feedback. My first Sausage King delivery has just arrived- a very pretty girl with a lovely smile, which always helps! Minimum order for free delivery is 1000baht- no hardship with all the goodies on offer. Just enjoying a large scotch egg and I had forgotten how good they can be. Pass the chang..... Cod fillets in parsley sauce with mash for dinner tonight-see if it passes the gf's taste test too.
