Using an overseas Debit Card to minimise paying tax for those of us staying over 180 days
The question of whether the gift has been taxed offshore is not relevant until those funds are declared to the TRD on a tax return, by the remitter but under your scenario, that is never allowed to happen. There is no presumption by anyone regarding whether tax has been paid or not, on foreign or domestic funds, until the Thai tax return is filed. If the gifter is a Thai tax resident, they will have remitted funds from overseas which, for the sake of this example, are assessable to Thai tax. The fact the funds were remitted to another person and not to their own account, does not excuse the remitter from declaring the funds on a tax return. If that same remitter had remitted Thai assessable funds from overseas, to, for example, a Thai property developer, in order to buy a condo, those funds would need to be assessed for Thai tax as if they were remitted to their own Thai account. If that were not true, any foreigner living in Thailand could pay all their bills in Thailand, using remittances from their overseas account and none of it would be regarded as assessible income and no Thai tax would be due ever! The gift is only made when the gifter is willing to give and the giftee is willing to receive, that can only be proven once the remittance has been made, the argument that the gift is made before the remittance is therefore not valid. -

Court in Southern Thailand to Consider 2004 Tak Bai Massacre Lawsuit File photo for reference only The decision of the Narathiwat Provincial Court to hear a lawsuit raised against seven officials implicated in the 2004 Tak Bai massacre has been applauded by activists. Srisompob Jitpiromsri, the director of Deep South Watch, viewed the court's acceptance of the lawsuit as an important move towards achieving justice and peace in the conflict-ridden region. He made these remarks at a discussion held in Pattani's Mueang district concerning the court's decision. The massacre under scrutiny claimed the lives of 85 people. Court in Southern Thailand to Consider 2004 Tak Bai Massacre Lawsuit
The decision of the Narathiwat Provincial Court to hear a lawsuit raised against seven officials implicated in the 2004 Tak Bai massacre has been applauded by activists. Kannavee Suebsang, a proportional representation MP for the FAIR Party, and other campaigners concentrated on the Deep South were present at the event. Kannavee expressed that justice seems to be within reach now that the seven accused officials will be held accountable for their actions. He stressed the importance of recognising the past brutalities that would impact Thailand's global image. "A lot of concealed truths from the previous twenty years can now come to light, paving the way for a productive dialogue to establish lasting peace in Pattani," Kannavee added. He also urged the government to exhibit a strong political will to tackle the continuous problems in the southern provinces. Despite having 13 MPs from the southern provinces within the ruling coalition, Kannavee pointed out that the efforts to resolve the region's issues were unsatisfactory. The FAIR Party MP criticised earlier governments for focusing too much on security concerns. He argued that the failure to bring peace in the restless region stemmed from treating all difficulties as security threats. Examination of witnesses is set to begin on September 12. Spirit of Ukraine Independence Day August 24, 2024
Let`s do some googling. You see the link, right? https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Declaration_no._142-N_of_the_Soviet_of_the_Republics_of_the_Supreme_Soviet_of_the_USSR And then you just click on the "Русский" to see the document in Russian. And after that you just copy paste the name of the organ who made this decision in Russian: "СОВЕТ РЕСПУБЛИК ВЕРХОВНОГО СОВЕТА СССР" And google will show you what you see on the screenshot - Let`s copy/paste it into translate.google.com - and you see this - The Council of the Republics of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR (Council of the Republics of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR) is the upper chamber of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, created on the basis of the USSR Law of September 5, 1991 N 2392-I "On the Bodies of State Authority and Administration of the USSR during the Transitional Period", but not provided for in Article 111 of the Constitution of the USSR. Did you see this - "but not provided for in Article 111 of the Constitution of the USSR". When Gorbachev created this council, he violated the constitution and, according to the law, should have been executed for illegally appropriating power. -

How can we follow the Buddhas Sutra to "live in the present" when it doesn't exist?
I was hoping for insight and/or assistance about living life in the present? In the sutra “Knowing the Better Way to Live Alone,” the Buddha said clearly, “Don't get caught in the past, because the past is gone. Don't get upset about the future, because the future is not yet here. There is only one moment for you to be alive, and that is the present moment". My problem is that it appears that the present moment doesn't exist. If you draw a line and say: To the left of the line lies the past. To the right of the line is the future. But where lies the present? If you view the dividing line between the past and the future, from a microscopic point of view it appears as a having a very large thickness. To a microscopic being it may appear 10 miles wide or greater. How quickly can a microscopic being take to traverse this vast distance of this very thick line. Which part of this very thick line represents the past and which part of it represents the future? Which part of this can ever represent the present? This line can be made thinner approaching infinity, but the being observing it might be smaller much closer to infinity. We have the same dilemma. The only way I can see the line being thin enough is to make it greater than infinitely thin. By definition it would have to disappear. If it disappears then this supports my initial dilemma that the present cannot exist, as there cannot be anything bordering the past from the future. How can I practice being in the moment if it doesn't exist? Even if you replace distance with time (space/time and the theory of relativity E = MC squared) the problem is worse. You would need to stop time. -
